Ok...so as expected, there are politics involved in being an officer. Frankly, politics doesn't concern me on a guild level because I know I have people who support me when I need help and I also know that the other officers don't do shit so they can't whine about things I do...
Politics in Team B is very...disheartening.
Firstly, because its our own people-as both officers and members.
Secondly, because no matter what we do...some people are going to be pissed.
Thirdly, because they can't take the heat of being an officer.
Yes, I posted the proposal that WE came up with together. And I do NOT see anything fucking wrong with the proposal (altho maybe posting it wasn't a good idea.) Sure, some members whine about not being a main raider...but that's normal. Honestly, I think sticking with the proposal is better...why? At least there are visible changes (even if its some that ppl hate) not hiding the problems under the rug and whining about how difficult it is to invite people to raids.
Pretty much this issue boils down to the fact that poi cannot take the fact that he doesn't know how to make a stand to members. The reasons for them not being a main raider are present...you just don't wanna recognise it in the face of them tulan at you...or worse, don't wanna be the one to tell em.
If you want me to take the heat for this mess-I will. But at the end of the day will the situation improve? Even if we scrap the whole idea Team B WILL NOT PROGRESS. Why? Because firstly all the issues still remain and secondly, you lost authority with members by being a wussy.Being an officer isn't about pleasing everyone. My situation with tap, poi's situation with susu and the tons of ppl who don't like Jahat and Phanta are testimony to that. Critism is part of the job title...and my policy is that if members give real suggestions on how to improve (instead of just whining) yes I will listen and consider it...and I won't take personal issues to
raid level and still value them in the team.
THAT is what being an officer is about-can you do that?And no, the members in question are NOT good in attitude and if you are talking about skills I can definitely list out better ones...as for gears how fucking hard is it to gear up? There are other ppl gearing up for raids too. Take mages for example...Kenz dps is better than wing's...the problem is controlling dps but even in that aspect he is way better than Buhbye who doesn't bother to dl KTM and aggros....but the worse part is still not dling KTM...same deal with prieste not dling decursive-don't be biased just because they come for
raid often (and dont forget WHY they come for raid-gear not progress)
LET ME REMIND YOU THAT THESE PEOPLE DO NOT GIVE A FUCK ABOUT RAID PROGRESS AND ONLY WANT PERSONAL LOOTS.Their attitude already prove that...frankly, such ppl piss me off...even poi is like that when he was a member and afraid he won't get in raid...IMO we should not forget our own roots and problems we had as members and, as officers, TRY our best to avoid the situation for fellow members coz we are responsible for all of them not just the whiny few.
Don't forget how hard it was for you to get in raids...how you got to be officer in the first place.
Because once you forget yourself in favor of
raid progress, you don't deserve to be officer coz we have to put members first...all of them not just a few selected ones.
The argument about raid progress can be broken down and annilated...1. problem members aren't interested in raid progress...all they want is a guarentee spot when they DECIDE to come for raid. How can I prove this? Look at ppl like takecare and terrorblades who do not complain and support us fully by voting...THIS is the kind of members we should keep.
2. gears-can be geared up relatively easy for kara...uncle already has a better weapon than me and almost complete his set...his gear will be better than mine soon. Kenz as well. Gears aren't an excuse for picking members. because no matter how good the gears if your attitude sarks and all you go for
raid is to get gears then THESE people WILL LEAVE when they dont get what they want...whiners already prove that.
3. attendance issues will remain-scrapping the whole proposal is fine with me but it will NOT solve problems...instead, you'll get more coz these ppl know they have their way and will just come and go as they please as usual. All I can say is compare them to ppl like takecare and officers attitude. They don't need the gear but come anyway. I know MY gear can go finish Gruul edi. I don't need to spend the repair bill, pots and frustration unlike you guys...ppl who do this like takecare and wing truly are the ones who care abt progress.
You wanna keep these few members only and not invite any new people is digging your own grave coz our current ppl are the problem ones.
Lets face it the only way to make up for irregular attendance is to have more ppl available. Also, what you gonna do when these ppl leave? You gonna have a bigger problem justifying yourself to newer members when you have no more ppl to come
raid and they are all you have left.
As for Team A issues, yes the officers went over to help. I am aware of this and also aware that now that they down prince the FOCUS is on Team B...they will come help us. If you
really want to argue for progress then you should accept ppl like susu in...and Count, Jahat as well. But I know that you wont let that happen.
I am not asking for everyone to have a raid spot-as idealistic as I am I know that is not possible. But I do NOT agree with keeping only the current few-esp those problem members. I can TELL you that their attitude is bad...that they only suck up to you coz they want the LOOTS. You wanna prove it? Ask them to pass item like Xandeloras...see they will leave Team and guild anot...I can practically GUARENTEE it.
Their attitude is not like Bing or myself or other better members who are willing to let raid progress more than personal progress. This situation already prove that-how can you justify putting bara as main when he lags like hell and keep dc? The fact is we already invite him whenever he can come...he is a liability and we keep him and now we getting blame for that? This is the guy who leveled with me so yea I thought he was a nice guy too...but frankly I'm tired of pemburu's and bara's male ego which can't accept the fact that
THEIR PRIVELEGES (of being in raid) IS NOT THEIR RIGHT AND IT'S AT THE EXPENSE OF OTHER MEMBERS OF THE RAID. Yet do they care? No, they only care about themselves and that they won't get spot...they wont give up their spot or loots for
raid progress.
That's a result of being biased...well partially. Mostly is because ppl all wanna guarentee their spot to be 100% theirs whenever they CHOOSE to show up. So even if they show up and we need other ppl they are gonna whine. You can't please everyone but seriously, is it worth it to please this kind of ppl over other members who deserve the shot? Don't forget about your time as a member...how did YOU feel?
Just don't let the power trip of being an officer make you forget what it's like to be a member...also, don't forget that officer's obligation is not just to ppl who can be useful to us...is to all members. Sure, we cannot give everyone a chance to
raid but to shut out all possibilities is only even more unfair than the current proposal which affect oni 2 members.
Team A works with fixed group because they know each other in RL and call each other to find out about
raid timings and force ppl to online...the officers are pretty firm in that and NO ONE questions them (which is why the susu issue w/ poi). We can
never reproduce this for Team B coz members are just not dedicated enough...with Odin ppl there is the possibility of doing this but overall I think its a plan that looks better on paper than in RL.
We cannot be indecisive and fight among ourselves...the proposal was the result of us deciding a firm direction for the team. And that is the way to go (not the proposal but the decisive thingy)
Officers cannot keep change their gameplan...they need to fix it and MAKE ppl do it instead of bowing down when ppl whine. Take a lesson from odin...last time how many ppl vote attendance? How many did not want a fix team? How many disobey and post in RO-G? What did our committee do? Sure, there was albie but we aren't albie and for the most part they stood firm to their beliefs and imposed them on members-for the greater good. If they keep scrapping every idea coz 1 member complain we would be like other guilds. Hard facts but true. I'm not saying how they ran things is totally great but it works. Even tho sometimes committee have to play the bad guy. if not jeez wont get his ebil title.
So now the question is what is going to happen next? Which will have more progress? Give in? Try new plan? Stick with plan?
Remember that either options you gonna have ppl who are not happy. IMO we should put
raid progress over whiners (if they really care about
raid they would give proper suggestions not just complain) so
which option will progress more?Fuck this is the longest essay I have ever written...I really need my emo ppl back.
Also, I would appreciate it is no one responds to this on my blog...its a Team issue and we'll deal with it among ourselves. This is my ranting space...so if anything find me on
